Notes:
In the Tigrinya language of Eritrea, a zurya (á‹™áˆá‹«) is a cotton dress, usually uncoloured except for the hems of the sleeves and skirt. A tilfy (ትáˆáŠï¿½) is a more elaborately designed dress with embroidery running down the front. Both these types of dresses are worn with matching shawls -- it has even been noted that the most exquisite dress would be worthless without its shawl.
